WRLF to hold Open House and Ice Cream Social at Sheep Hill Thursday August 5, 2-4 PM (fwd)

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Leslie Reed-Evans says The Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation is hosting its annual summer Open House and Ice Cream Social on Thursday August 5th from 2 - 4 PM at its Sheep Hill headquarters in Williamstown. Sheep Hill, a former small dairy farm, is a unique property with stunning scenery, meadow trails, and historic barns. The Open House is seen as a way to familiarize residents and visitors alike with the family activities, such as hiking and nature exploration, available at Sheep Hill.

The afternoon will feature a craft and activities for children, tours of the property and building exhibits, and local ice cream served with seasonal fruits. Although there is no charge for the event, donations are appreciated.

The Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation is a non-profit, member-supported land conservation trust which works to preserve the rural New England character of the area and sponsors nature education, local history and seasonal food events throughout the year. Sheep Hill is located on Route 7 south in Williamstown, approximately one mile south of the rotary. Program support provided by the Williamstown Savings Bank.
