Minerva Stage says it has found a home after 16 years; kickoff July 20

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Minerva Stage of the Northern Berkshires has found a home after 14 years and is seeking directors, paywrights, actors, artists . . . and investors through a season kickoff on Tues., July 20.

Minerva has been producing theatre and providing educational opportunities to children and adults of all ages since 1996. Minerva said it now has a venue to officially call home at 1288 Massachusetts Avenue in North Adams, known from here on out as the Minerva Arts Center, or MAC for short.

"We at Minerva Stage are very excited to utilize the MAC in both new and old ways in up and coming years: as a performance space, a rehearsal space, a classroom, a visual art gallery, an office or studio for working artists, a venue for music performances, lecture series, poetry readings, film screenings, and more," said Eric Auld, Minerva artistic operations manager.

A two-evening event FAQ at the MAC (short for Forum of Artistic Quests ), and it will take place on Tues., July 20 and Wed., July 28 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Minerva Arts Center. (Snacks and beverages will be provided.)

FAQ at the MAC is not just intended as a tour of a new physical space, but as a chance for discussions to begin on the collaborative efforts that the MAC and its future artists and inhabitants are capable of.
