Press ReleaseFor immediate releaseThe Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation welcomes artist and art educator Nova Rockwell back to Sheep Hill for a week-long program for 9-12 year olds. Learning From Nature: Expanding Your Imagination and Skills of Observation will run from 9 AM to noon daily Monday August 2 through Friday August 6. Leslie Reed-Evans, WRLF Executive Director and naturalist, will co-lead the program.
During the week we will explore flora and fauna at Sheep Hill, make nature journals, play games that encourage close observation of the environs of Sheep Hill, and create a variety of art projects based on the season and what nature offers at Sheep Hill. It will be a rewarding week working from imagination and observation. The cost is $150 per child, or $125 for WRLF members. The Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation is a non-profit, member-supported land conservation trust committed to preserving the rural character of Williamstown and its surroundings. Sheep Hill, a conservation property and the headquarters of the WRLF, is located on Route 7 approximately one mile south of the rotary in Williamstown. The entrance is on the west side of the road. Sheep Hill and other WRLF properties are open daily to the public for hiking and enjoyment of nature.
