Our Town highlights Main Stage at WTF this summer

Thornton Wilder's "Our Town," highlights the planned summer season of the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the last one for artistic director Nicholas Martin. It will play on the MainStage July 28-Aug. 8 with a cast including Becky Ann Baker, Dylan Baker, Jessica Hecht and Campbell Scott as the townsfolk. "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," will open the WTF June 30, directed by Jessica Stone, with the Tony-nominated actor Christopher Fitzgerald. This information comes tonight from The New York Times website, which posted about 6 p.m. a story that wouldn't be in print until Monday. There's nothing on the WTF website. The Times also said beginning June 23 Judy Gold will perform her new one-woman play, "It's Jewdy's Show," on the Nikos Stage, a follow-up to her "25 Questions for a Jewish Mother." Also in the lineup, the Times said -- Amy Herzog's "After the Revolution," a new play about three generations of a radical leftist family, which was developed from the fes!
tival's fellowship project last summer, and "Samuel J. and K.," by Mat Smart, also to be presented on the Nikos Stage.
