NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Eclipse Mill Gallery at 243 Union Street in North Adams, MA will present "Eclipse Annual 2010" from October 8 through November 7. This yearly month-long exhibition will present a survey of recent works by artists of the Eclipse Mill, a former textile factory that is now home to more than 40 painters, illustrators, designers, sculptors, weavers, writers, musicians, dancers, and other artists. The show will open with a reception on Friday, October 8, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Eclipse Annual is designed to coincide with North Adams Open Studios, a city-wide art event held in mid-October each year. This year 22 artists in the Eclipse Mill will participate in Open Studios, opening their studio lofts to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17. Members of the public can survey artworks in the Eclipse Annual group exhibition in the Eclipse Mill Gallery on the first floor, then proceed to visit individual lofts to meet the artists and see more of their works. Maps will be provided to help visitors navigate the four-story building, which is fully handicapped-accessible.

The Eclipse Annual 2010 will include works by Astrid Hiemer, BD Handspicker, Bill Guild, Beth Davis, Roy Volkmann, Charles Giuliano, David Lane, Dawn Guild, Dawn Nelson, Ed Carson, Erin Ko, Julie Seitel, Lane Koster, Liz Cunningham, Marjorie Minkin, Michelle Jensen, Paula Orlando, Phil and Gail Sellers, Rick Harlow, Robert Rendo, Rodney Wilkinson, and Sharon Carson.
