That is 400 percent more than the $28,000 received on average by all Republican senators during the same three weeks. No connection between politics and policy, says a Brown spokesperson.

He argues wood-burning biomass plants for electricity generation are better than solar or wind renewable energy and better than continuing to use fossil fuels. But he says new Massachusetts regulations will prevent him -- economically -- from moving off oil.
