NORTH ADAMS -- Rumors have been flying recently regarding former Mayor John Barrett III and some of the city-owned items he once used.



It has been speculated that Barrett had taken furniture out of his former city hall office without paying for it and had also failed to return the two city-owned cars that he was driving as part of his travel compensation as mayor.
